Vibeke joined Rheos as a Senior Clinical Advisor, bringing 40 years of clinical rheumatology expertise. She is currently an adjunct clinical professor in the Division of Immunology and Rheumatology at Stanford University School of Medicine, since 1993; having taught at UCSF since 1981. Previously, Vibeke has been in subspecialty practice, a clinical investigator, and a senior director of clinical research at 3 pharmaceutical / biotech companies. Since 1991, Vibeke has led a consulting practice offering clinical research and regulatory strategy expertise in rheumatologic diseases to biotech and pharma. And over the past 30 years, she has participated in the development of most of the approved biologic and targeted synthetic agents in RA, PsA, and SLE, and studied many promising agents in SpA, OA and gout.
Vibeke received an MD from UCSF and a BA, Zoology & Sociology/Anthropology from Swarthmore College. She completed an internal medicine primary care residency at Michigan State University and Rheumatology/Immunology fellowship at UCSF.
