Rheos Medicines is seeking a creative and motivated individual to join the Biology team. During the internship, this person will learn concepts and laboratory techniques in the fields of immunology and immunometabolism. The co-op will design, execute, and analyze experiments that support scientific projects relevant to immune-related diseases. They will also have the opportunity to present data and conclusions to cross-functional teams. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to several sophisticated laboratory techniques and work in the cutting-edge field of immunometabolism. 


  • Isolating and culturing primary immune cells
  • Performing genetic manipulations (e.g. CRISPR, shRNA) and setting up functional assays to support target validation
  • Execute experiments using molecular and cellular biology techniques such as flow cytometry, immunoblotting, lentiviral/retroviral transductions, ELISA, and/or Seahorse
  • Effectively communicate results and conclusions, and record data in an electronic lab notebook


  • Currently enrolled in a Graduate Program: Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology or Pharmacology
  • Basic understanding of molecular biology, cell biology and immunology. Familiarity with standard laboratory techniques in these areas
  • Demonstrated scientific engagement and motivation; eager to learn new skills and actively participate in a dynamic, fast-paced research environment
  • Excellent organizational skills. Detail-oriented, able to maintain accurate documentation of experiments in an electronic lab notebook
  • Strong communications skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Positive attitude
